When the cooking happens outdoors, a flimsy kitchen knife is the wrong tool. These four full-tang blades are cut from thick carbon steel with a drop-point profile, and each handle is wrapped in grippy cord that stays secure when your hands are greasy.
We use the larger two for skinning and quartering, the smaller pair for trimming ribs and cutting twine at the smoker. Each comes with a lanyard hole. Wipe dry after use and oil the carbon blades lightly so they do not rust between trips.
