Some meals are meant for a crowd and a backyard fire. This wide-bellied cauldron holds enough sancocho, goat curry or feijoada for a party of twenty, and the thick iron spreads the heat of the flames so the bottom does not scorch.
It hangs from a sturdy bail handle and is sized for our steel tripod or any similar stand. Build the fire underneath and adjust the chain height to control the simmer. Oil it inside and out after cleaning, since it will sit outside more than most pots.
